Amanda graduated from the University of Melbourne’s Doctor of Physiotherapy program. Prior to completing her physiotherapy studies, she completed a Bachelor of Biomedicine also at the University of Melbourne.
This combination of degrees has shaped Amanda into the physiotherapist she is today; with an interest in movement kinematics, Amanda also appreciates utilising a holistic approach to management. Amanda is particularly keen in conditions surrounding the knee and shoulder. Being a GLA:D certified physiotherapist, Amanda strongly believes in exercise therapy, and empowerment through self-management.
She brings to Own Body, a background in musculoskeletal physiotherapy; working predominantly over the past 3 years in the private sector; in both private practice and private hospitals. She also has experience working with children; previously seeing a paediatric caseload within private practice.
Outside of work Amanda stays very active. She enjoys dancing, art and jogging. During her free time, you can usually find Amanda exploring (or painting) the beautiful nature of Melbourne and surrounds; or at the gym; staying both mentally and physically fit.
