I am constantly inspired by and enormously grateful to my wonderful team, who share this passion for holistic health with our clients all across Australia. Having created a business that attracts positive, passionate and experienced therapists who care foremost about making a difference in their clients’ lives is an enormous source of pride for me. My role is primarily shaping and growing the business to enable them to do what they love. As Own Body grows and evolves, I’m always asked, “What does success look like to you?” My answer is, “As long as we continue to create a positive impact on our clients and community, we’re already there."

Working with Own Body has made me realise how much I love doing home visit physiotherapy. Seeing people in their own homes gives you the freedom to explore many treatment options and strategies that are just not possible otherwise. And the clients are always so grateful and welcoming.

After being a physio for over 35 years, one would think how can I still be so passionate about being a physio. Actually I don't see it as my job but rather my PURPOSE. I have worked in almost all aspects/clinical settings as a physiotherapist both in South Africa and here in Australia, but having started with Own Body during Covid, I felt and feel I have come HOME. Through the difficult times of Covid/isolation, Own Body was and is so supportive even though we actually don't see each other. I love the team camaraderie and I feel honoured to be part of the client's health journey, seeing each of them as REMARKABLE people with such rich inspiring life stories. Own Body is Home for me and I can safely say this will be my last job.

As a mum of two young children, the flexibility which Own Body offers is wonderful. It allows me to have a great work-life balance, enabling me to be there at school drop-off and pick up times, and spend time with my family in the evenings and weekends. The team at Own Body is fantastic, and while I am on the road working autonomously, I know I have the full support of my clinical leads, supervisors, and colleagues, as well as the office and administrative team. Through group messaging, we have full team collaboration for clinical advice and discussion. The workload with Own Body has been fulfilling, being able to spend time one-on-one with our clients, really getting to connect with them and helping them achieve their goals.

Working with Own Body is a uniquely rewarding experience- as mobile therapists, we are able to provide a meaningful service within clients' own homes. As staff we are offered flexible work arrangements for outside of work interests and supported within an experienced team passionate about excellence.

To be able to provide tailored care to clients in their own homes where they are able to be themselves and have the time they deserve has been rewarding and a delight.

Additionally, to have the ability to work alongside such a talented team who are always there to support you is invaluable!
