Caroline is a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with over 30 years’ experience, post graduate qualifications in Manual Therapy and a Research Master’s degree. She has extensive clinical experience in the treatment of acute and chronic conditions and specialises in helping people manage chronic pain.
As well as working clinically, she is also a senior facilitator and project manager with HealthChange Australia; an organisation that trains and consults with health professionals in the area of person-centred health behaviour change. Caroline is currently involved with the University of Melbourne conducting a trial using HealthChange® Methodology to improve adherence to treatment advice in patients with Osteoarthritis of the knee. She has also worked with Alberta Health Services in Canada to embed the Methodology into their chronic disease management service across the state.
Clients sometimes comment that consultations with Caroline can feel a little different from some “traditional” physiotherapy sessions. Her broad skill set means that people are generally assisted to understand their main issues as well as ways to take control and manage them, in a way that is manageable and specific to their circumstances.
“I like to think I help people to firstly understand the messages their body is giving them and then assist them to respond in a way that is going to get the best quality of life outcome.”
Caroline loves the outdoors and relaxing with a book at the beach.
