Heather graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy with Honours in the UK in 2015. She spent some time working in the intermediate care sector assisting people from hospital back into their home following falls, orthopaedic surgeries and neurological conditions. Heather has since spent the last four years in working in private practice treating and managing a variety of musculoskeletal injuries, as well teaching clinical exercise classes.
Heather believes that having the ability to manage your pain and move your body well is the foundation to long term quality health. She believes this can be achieved through correct education and management strategies as well as mobility, strength and balance training.
Alongside working part time at Own body, Heather practices animal physiotherapy and has a huge love of animals, including her own two dogs. In her spare time she spends it walking her two kelpies, running or training Crossfit, and loves to explore Melbournes coffee and brunch culture!
