Marla is a compassionate and conscientious physiotherapist with a passion for holistic healthcare and wellbeing. Graduating from La Trobe University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Marla spent her new graduate years in acute public hospital settings, residential aged care and volunteering as a physiotherapist with an international mission’s organisation; before moving into subacute inpatient rehabilitation.
Marla has interests in a broad range of areas but is particularly inclined towards rehabilitation in the older adult, falls prevention and balance retraining. She loves the privilege of coming alongside her clients and getting to know them over the course of their rehabilitation journey. Marla joined Own Body to help clients achieve meaningful goals in the context of their own home and community.
Aussie born with West Indian heritage, Marla enjoys warm weather, music with a good beat and sharing food with family and friends.
